Creamy, dreamy, and loaded with garlic shrimp, this Marry Me Shrimp Pasta is the perfect one-pan dinner that’s romantic, easy, and unforgettable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (in oil), chopped
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring salted water to a boil. Cook penne until al dente (about 8–9 minutes).
  2. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. Toss shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  4. Heat olive oil in skillet. Sear shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
  5. Remove and set aside.
  6. In the same pan, add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  7. Pour in chicken broth and deglaze. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes.
  8. Add heavy cream, Italian seasoning, parmesan cheese. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until thickened.
  9. Add cooked pasta to sauce. Toss to coat.
  10. If too thick, add reserved pasta water a bit at a time.
  11. Return shrimp to the pan and gently stir.
  12. Top with parsley and crushed red pepper if desired.
  13. Serve with garlic bread or a fresh side salad.
